Description: You have a nightmare in the middle of the night, because of that Howl tries to make you feel good and more secure.

Warnings: witch hunt, tension, nightmare. But don't worry, we have hurt/comfort!

When you slowly open your eyes, you find yourself kneeling in the middle of a forest, everything seemed very calm and peaceful, the wind shook your hair gave you a good and comforting feeling. A feeling of inner peace. The trees were big and the birds were singing a beautiful tune. It was like you were in a fairytale forest, the whole nature seemed so calm and beautiful … everything was perfect.

You got up slowly, to walk in the forest.

" AAAHHHHH! " A loud scream next to you interrupted your calm, leaving you scared.

" What's that ?? " You say looking around, you didn't see anyone.

"RUN, RUN !! "

Another voice, apparently feminine, said " LET'S GO HERE, FAST!"

" RUN, WE NEED TO LEAVE "

"We are going to die, we are going to die, we are going to die, we are going to die, we are going to die… "

Several different voices spoke one after the other, in pain, despair and fear. Some screaming and some crying. It was disturbing your mind, causing fear and enormous sensory overload. You looked around quickly, trying to look for any trace of those voices, but you had no one close.

Suddenly, when looking to the left, a tall woman appears beside you, giving you a slight fright.

"Run, child, run!"

"What ?? Running? Running from whom? What's happening-" Before you finished the sentence, you heard the earth shake. What is it?? is an earthquake? You ask yourself, one more question for your collection of mental doubts.

Seconds later, in addition to the earth trembling, you could also hear the sound of screams, but they were shrill and angry screams … The woman who was at your side runs away when you hear the tremor and the screams. When trying to run after her but … you can't move. No matter how hard you try to run, you don't move.

The screams were getting closer and closer, when you look ahead you see several and several people marching, with angry looks as they shouted loudly. All these people looked extremely disgusted … your fear increased even more when you saw what the angry crowd was holding …

Weapons were weapons of all types and sizes.

There were rifles, scythes, torches … when you saw that, your heart beat faster, with fear filling your body, you tried to run, without any success.

" HELP !! Help me! "

You moved your legs very hard, looked everywhere possible, very anxious, the crowd was getting closer and closer … there were so many screams, one after the other, you almost couldn't hear anything, but a particular curse, may well be heard.

"DIE YOUR WITCHES!"

While you were running in the same place, you didn't notice, but the scenery gradually changed from the forest to a village.

You stopped running when you realized you were somewhere else, it was a calm and very familiar place for you.

" What? … It's my villa- " before finishing your sentence, you saw that the atmosphere of the place has changed.

There were houses on fire, people running from side to side, screams and calls for help … In front of them there was a woman running with a child on her lap, on the left side there were some people extremely injured trying to go to the forest, one of them was bleeding from the forehead … but they are all captured, gunshot sounds can be heard.

The angry crowd you saw earlier was there. When you paid attention, you saw several people attacking others, their eyes widened to see how the crowd set fire to everything, how they were hitting and killing people in the coldest and most bizarre way possible, everything in that scenario was horrible.

" HELP "

"LEAVE OUR VILLAGE"

"AAAHH HELP ME, HELP ME"

Your anxiety increases and your breath starts to wheeze, your eyes get wide with all the horror you are seeing, but no matter what you tried to do, you couldn't move, you couldn't run, help, escape .. you were standing in the middle of an attack.

A tall man, apparently six feet tall, grabbing a shotgun while two other men behind him were sickled. They are in front of a woman who is kneeling on the floor, he was ready to shoot the woman. When you see that scene, tears start to come down your face and you scream, bouncing off to run.

"NO, NO, NO !!!" You screamed, with tears in your eyes

The man looks at you with an angry look, you can feel the blood in his eyes, all while pointing the gun at the woman

"DIE! DIE WITCH!"

"NO!" You said, now finally managing to run

Howl, who was lying next to you, sat down quickly on the bed. " Love, what's up ?? Are you all right ?! " Howl asked, worried.

You breathing was heavy and you were very breathless and nervous.

"What? w-what? where …"

" Y / N, it's me, we're in our room … "

Howl lights the two candles on the headboard. When the bed is lit, you see the blond man sitting next to you, who was showing a concerned and kind look.

"Ah … Howl" You said, breathing hard, realizing where you were. "I had a nightmare, it was a forest and then a village that was on fire, with screams … It was … it was"

Howl came closer to you " Calm, darling…" He said stroking your back, up and down. "Before you tell me what happened take a deep breath ok? You are very nervous my dear, you need to calm down first"

You inhaled and after a few seconds you exhaled heavily, letting out all the air and becoming less tense. While you were doing this, Howl ran his hand up and down your back.

You continued to inhale and breathe for a few seconds, until the tension passed.

" I'm better now… " You said with a sigh.

You put your head on Howl's shoulder. He was sitting next to you, while he put his arm behind your back, stroking to give you comfort

" Good, my dear " Howl said softly "I was very worried about you. When I woke up, I saw that you were moaning and bouncing …" Howl was looking at you with a look of concern. He cared a lot about you and he always showed it. You felt a little guilty about waking up your loved one that way.

" I'm sorry about that, honey… "

"Y / N my dear, don't apologize, this is not your fault," Howl continues "… Most human beings are not in control of their dreams, so many are bad or meaningless, sometimes we don't even realize it is a dream … don't feel guilty about it, ok? I'm here to help "

" Thanks Howl …" You said with a light and cute smile.

Howl calmly removed his hand from your back and asked gently " Do you want to talk about what happened in your nightmare, darling?"

You nodded and started saying " I was in a forest … everything was so calm and beautiful, but then I heard desperate screams… things like " we need to get out of here, run! " And a woman appeared out of nowhere, she told me to run, I tried to ask her what was going on … but at that moment I heard a tremor, the woman ran away, afraid… " While you were telling what happened, looking ahead with a terrified look , Howl listened attentively to everything you said.

" W-when … when i looked ahead, I saw an angry crowd … they carried torches, shotguns, scythes … they were so angry, they screamed a lot and I hardly heard anything" Your eyes widen when you remember a detail

" Y / N?? What happened? " Howl asks, concerned.

When you remember a word that someone in the crowd said, everything was very clear to you, the familiar place, the attack, the houses with the wood burning because of the fire … it was not just a nightmare, it was not just something your mind.

" I remembered something that someone in the crowd said … I remembered …" You started to cry. "… One person said something like " Die witches … " "

In that moment, Howl understands everything.

" I … I dreamed of memories of when they attacked my village … " You said in a frightened tone, crying.

" Honey …" Howl spoke with sadness and concern in his words. " I'm sorry about that …"

" It was so horrible Howl, everything was really weird … but I felt there again" Tears streamed down as you spoke. "I never want something like this to happen again, n-never …"

" I understand, my dear, but don't worry, it will never happen again …" Howl moved closer to you, wiping your tears gently with his thumb.

" Why did this hell of remembrance come back into my life? …"

" Such a painful trauma sometimes comes out of nowhere in our life, trying to bring us down … it's very complicated" You took Howl's hand and held to your cheek

Howl stroked your face as he spoke, gently in each of his words. "I understand that many places still have a hard time accepting people like us, but don't worry, Y / N …"

You and Howl lay in bed, close together and hugging each other. It was a tense night, but you know you could always count on your love.
